Fourth of July Recipes

Get yer July 4th flava right up in heeyah!!!  Don’t know what to make this weekend? these easy recipes will have you licking yer damn fingers! Whether you are cooking indoors or out, we have the recipes that will make you shed a tear… and not just when you remember those who gave us our freedom!  All of these recipes come to us from the Elite Association for Tasty Mealtime Enterprises (E.A.T.M.E) so make sure you check out their Facebook Page for more great recipes!!

EATME Spicey Honey Bourbon & Coffee Pulled PorkSpicy Honey Bourbon & Coffee Pulled Pork

Great recipe to bring to a Memorial day Potluck!- Make Ahead!

2 lb Country Style Pork Ribs
1 ½ cup NAKED infusions Black Silk Espresso Salsa
1 tbsp Rockin’ Rubs Steak Mojo
½ tsp Sabrosa Salt Company Barbecue Salt
olive oil
1 cup bourbon
2 tbsp honey

1) Combine Naked Infusions Salsa, Rockin’ Rubs Steak Mojo & Sabrosa BBQ Salt and 1 tbsp olive oil, and marinade pork for at least an hour.

2) Preheat oven to 300 degrees
3) In a coverable, oven safe pot or dutch oven, brown the pork for two minutes per side, save the marinade for next step.
4) Put marinade into the pot and add the bourbon and honey.
5) bring to a simmer, cover tightly and, put into oven for 2-3 hours.
6) Remove from oven and carefully shred the pork with two forks. Remove any bone fragments if you used “bone-in ribs”, and then serve over rice or on a sandwich.

Crock Pot Instructions
1) Combine Naked Infusions Salsa, Rockin’ Rubs Steak Mojo & Sabrosa BBQ Salt and 1 tbsp olive oil, and marinade pork for at least an hour.
2) Brown the pork for two minutes per side on the stove to sear, save the marinade for next step.
3) Then place into your crockpot.
4) Put marinade into the crock pot and add the bourbon and honey.
5) Cover and set on high (4 -6 hours)
6) Carefully shred the pork with two forks. Remove any bone fragments if you used “bone-in ribs”, and then serve over rice or on a sandwich.

EATME Garlic Herb Shrimp2

Pan-Fried Garlic & Herb Gulf Shrimp

You can also throw these on the bbq this weekend and grill them for your BBQ!!

2 lbs Jumbo Gulf Shrimp (can buy frozen and defrost as well)
1 tbsp Kissed by the Sun Spice Company Garlic & Herb Blend
1 tbsp Rockin’ Rubs Tuscan Temptation Blend
½ tsp Sabrosa Salt Company Italian Seasoning Salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Juice of half lemon
1/2 tbsp paprika
Fresh cilantro

1) Put all ingredients in a tightly sealed container and “shake the heck out of it”
2) Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and pan-fry in shells (if they have shells) for 3-4 minutes per side. OR Grill for 3 minutes per side on indirect heat. (place marinade in a pot and place on grill to simmer as well)
3) Let cool for 2 minutes and carefully remove shells.
4) Drizzle sauce and serve with sauce and chopped cilantro.

EATME Pineapple Chicken

Sweet & Sour Pineapple Sesame Chicken with Sweet Potatoes & Brussels Sprouts

Or BBQ this weekend!!

½ cup Da Kine Hawaiian Sauces & Rubs Pineapple syrup
¼ cup Sparrow Lane, artisan vinegars and olive oils White Balsamic Vinegar
2 tsp Sabrosa Salt Company Cumin Cinnamon Salt
1 tbsp Kissed by the Sun Spice Company Sunny Island Blend
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 lbs chicken legs
1/2 onion cut into chunks
1 large sweet potato cut into chunks
Pineapple rings
1 cup of chicken broth
1 red pepper cut into chunks
1/2 lb brussels sprouts cut in half
fresh chopped cilantro
black sesame seeds

Conventional stove & oven
1) Combine syrup, vinegar, salt, spice blend and sesame oil and marinate chicken for about 2 hours
2) Preheat oven to 350 Degrees
3) In a large, oven safe pan, sauté onion and sweet potatoes in 1 tbsp of olive oil with a little of the salt and spice blend on medium high heat until the onion becomes translucent.
4) Brown chicken skin side down for two minutes, and then flip and brown for another 2 minutes. Save marinade for next step.
5) Add marinade to pan.
6) Add ½ cup chicken broth and bring to a simmer and place pineapple rings on top of chicken.
7) Place in oven and cook for 30 minutes.
8) Add brussels sprouts & red peppers and stir to coat with juices in the pan.
9) Cook an additional 15 minutes
10) Broil for 4-7 minutes (make sure to check so that chicken doesn’t burn, you may have to remove chicken before vegetables and pineapple, but make sure everything has a nice crisp char.
11) Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and black sesame seeds and serve with some of the sauce from the pan.

BBQ
1) Combine syrup, vinegar, salt, spice blend and sesame oil and marinate chicken, onion, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, pineapple rings and red pepper for about 2 hours
2) Grill on indirect heat for various times (approx 30 mins for chicken, 20 mins for sweet potato and 10 minutes for onion, Brussels sprouts, pineapple rings and red pepper.- can do the vegetables in a grill basket.

Spicy Asian Citrus Wings

can make these on the stove top and oven, or BBQ them this weekend!!

¼ cup of Da Kine Hawaiian Sauces & Rubs Hot Soy Sauce
¼ cup Sparrow Lane, artisan vinegars and olive oils Rice Vinegar
1 tbsp Kissed by the Sun Spice Company Lemon, Lime, Orange Peel Pepper
1 tbsp Rockin’ Rubs Sweet Fire
2 lbs chicken wings
freshly chopped cilantro
sesame seeds

Stove top & Oven
1) Mix all ingredients and marinate chicken for 2 hours
2) Preheat oven to 350 degrees
3) In an oven save pan, brown the chicken on each side for 2 minutes or so on medium high heat. Save marinade for next step.
4) Add the marinade from the chicken.
5) Add ¼ cup water and bring to a simmer.
6) Place in oven and cook for 40 minutes.
7) Broil for 4-6 minutes to get a nice char.
8) Sprinkle with cilantro & sesame seeds

BBQ:
1) Mix all ingredients and marinate chicken for 2 hours
2) BBQ on direct heat for 3 minutes to sear, rotating every 30 seconds
3) Cook on indirect heat for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting in the first 15 minutes with the remainder of the marinade. Can boil the marinade and use as a dipping sauce as well.

EATME Dakine Sweet & Spicy Tequila Pineapple Mustard Wings

 

Sweet & Spicy Tequila Pineapple & Mustard Wings

This recipe was made by Whipped & Beaten Culinary Works, Inc. using all of Da Kine Hawaiian Sauces & Rubs. Enjoy!

3 tbsp Hot Mustard Sauce
1/4 cup Pineapple Syrup
1 tbsp Da Rub Smoky
2 tbsp Soy Sauce (use our hot soy sauce, if you want it spicier)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 cup tequila
1 tbsp white vinegar
2 lb chicken wings

Combine all ingredients and marinate chicken for at least an hour.

Stovetop & Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large, deep, oven safe sauté pan (I recommend a 5.5 qt pan), sauté the chicken in about 2 tbsp of olive oil on medium high heat for about 2-4 minutes until browned. Save marinade for next step.

Add the marinade and about 1/2 cup of water and stir. Bring to a simmer.

Place in oven for 40 minutes.

Broil for 3-5 minutes to get crispy.

Serve with hot mustard sauce

BBQ
Grill on direct heat for 3 minutes to sear, then grill on indirect heat for another 25-30 minutes basting throughout with the marinade.
