Ingredients
  • 2-3 tbsp Smoky Pole BBQ Blend or create an equal mix of dry dry minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dry mustard seed
  • 1 jar orange marmalade
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 lbs chicken legs, thighs or wings

  • 1 jar orange marmalade
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 lbs chicken legs, thighs or wings

Instructions
  1. Mix the Smoky Pole BBQ Blend or substitute spices, orange marmalade, melted butter, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce and mix thoroughly. Add the chicken and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Overnight is preferable
In the Oven:
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and place legs uncovered in a deeper baking tray or casserole dish. Heat for about 10 minutes and then lower heat to 350 degrees. Pour rest of marinade over chicken and baste every 10 minutes for an additional 30 minutes to re-glaze the chicken.
  2. Broil for 3-5 minutes to get crispy.
On the BBQ:
  1. Place the chicken on direct heat for about 3- 5 minutes or so. Then place on indirect or low heat and baste every ten minutes twice with the marmalade glaze using all of the glaze on the second baste and cook until Chicken is done (takes up to 40 minutes or so).
